Hartshorn-dale is in the East Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). We are the official chapter of the SCA serving Chester and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania.
The SCA is an international organization dedicated to the study and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century life. While the majority of our members focus on European history and culture, we also encourage the exploration of other cultures that interacted with Europe during that time.
We do this by holding events where we explore all aspects of Medieval and Renaissance life, including food, clothing, martial arts, and arts and sciences. Events are listed in the East Kingdom Event Calendar. Neighboring SCA groups also hold many activities and events that are open to all. These include the Barony of Bhakail (Philadelphia and Delaware County), Shire of Buckland Cross (Bucks County), Shire of Caer Adamant (State of Delaware), and Shire of Owlsherst (York County). Atlantia, the kingdom to the south of the East Kingdom, has a calendar of events as well.
